The Wall Will Fall - Pt2
Saudi Arabia Option Studio | MIT
The 1:1 prototype mud wall is envisioned as part of a library renovation in Al Jouf, Saudi Arabia. The site and the library are divided into two halves by an existing wall to ensure the separation of male and female visitors. The proposed site plan uses a mud wall to create outdoor programmable spaces. The design of rhombus bricks allows for apertures in a continuous wall construction while still provides privacy and shelter. The walls break down over time as the society gradually progresses.
